I did a six year apprenticeship in the dark ages of the fifties producing full colour printing the hard way - letterpress. As printing was in my blood I started my own business - a long story! In 1996 Renaissance was born, adding the 'Creative' a few years later.

Both of my sons had pursued their own careers in printing and design, as it had rubbed off somehow from earlier days, and they subsequently joined the business making it family.
I was now headed to be the van driver!

We are a business with conscience that cares about our work, quality and customers and I must add that I am proud of the boys and the staff.

Managing Director

When I crashed out of my degree in serious debt, I spent a few months working at the local hospital to pay the bank back. Then one day, Terry (my dad) said to me, "If you're hanging around, then you might as well work in the business with me".

That was the start of my "career" in print and design. I've headed up various Midland print houses, and 25 years later we're all back together, as a family, and going strong!
Danny Keay

Creative Director

Having had the dubious pleasure of being born into the industry 38 years ago I have recently discovered even my blood type is a Pantone number.

Post university, while awaiting the call up from Terry Venables, I would fill my time working within design agencies, print shops, publishers, even television production companies countrywide, cultivating the wealth of skills and experience that I would later take into founding Renaissance Creative.

A decade on now and I am very fortunate to be surrounded by extremely talented family and friends, doing what I wanted to do when I grew up...

Business Development Manager

My role involves bringing new clients to the business and making sure they stay with us! We've been lucky enough to work on some amazing projects and the fact that many of our clients have been working with us for years is an indication of the quality of our work.

Dan is my husband, Nick is my brother-in-law and Terry is my father-in-law. But we don't just work together because we're family - we do it because we're an experienced bunch of people whose skills complement each other.

Graphic Designer

I've been working in the design and print industry since leaving school in 1989. Nick has been a family friend from childhood and it's been great growing up to work with him and his family.

Client liaison is my 'thing' - it's vital we communicate where we are with our projects. Nothing should be a surprise for our clients - they should know what to expect at all times.

I'm in the office 3 days a week now as I'm bringing up a very busy toddler and so I share a role with Anna. It works really well - 2 heads are better than one, they say!

Graphic Designer

I have worked in the design industry since leaving University seventeen years ago. I have worked at three companies in those years, Renaissance being the fourth, to become an experienced and fast worker in many areas especially in the production of corporate identities.

I have a particular flair for magazine work, and currently help produce quarterly titles for several Councils, Charities and NHS Trusts.

I am currently the 'other half' of Treena working two days a week and on the other days being 'Mum' to a 3 and 6 year old. We are both very flexible and this job share works very well.

Junior Designer

I always aspired to be a graphic designer ever since I was tiny, I studied Graphic communication in Cardiff and graduated in July 2013.

This is my first graphic Design job, and I absolutely love it. Everyone is so supportive, and I have learned so much since starting in January 2014.
